Writing about tennis

A couple of years back I had the brilliant idea of writing about Federer not winning a grand slam. Another jab of brilliance that never went far – luckily, as Federer hasn’t come close to winning one. But that idea got me thinking about how infrequent tennis books are, certainly compared to my in my youth. Well, at last I’ve spotted one, though whether it’s easily obtainable in Australia is an open question. The August 16 issue of the New York Times Book Review gives a reasonably favourable review of L. Jon Wertheim’s Strokes of Genius: Federer, Nadal, and the Greatest Match Ever Played.
